“It sounds a rather infelicitous situation the elves have been put in,” Elidir murmured.

Ailbhe shrugged. “I don’t really care about the noble houses. I don’t want the king to die, though I think he will. But my main concern has been dealt with. By you.”

Elidir smiled. “Well I’m glad to hear that.” He shifted closer, bringing his lips to her ear. “I could deal with it again if you want.”
