Word of the Day Challenge: Ibidem

Ibidem – in the same book, page, etc.

Disclaimer: Don’t own Merlin

He’d lost count of how many hours he’s been in the cave beneath the castle when Gaius came to check on him, with a plate of food.

He jumped up from the uncomfortable rocks and leaped at it, wolfing down the food before even sitting down.

“Don’t eat too fast, you’ll make yourself sick.”

“Reading makes me hungry,” Gwaine protested through a mouthful of bread.

Gaius grimaced as he wiped a stray crumb from his face.

“How far have you got?”

“I’ve read those ones.” Gwaine pointed to a pile of books next to an open book. On the other side of the open book was a much larger pile than the first.

Gaius stared in disbelief. “I think Merlin might have his work cut out for him with you.”

“Ah, there’s too many books!”

“Well, sorcery is an extensive study, you can’t expect all the information to be ibidem.”

“No. But there could be less.”
