“How does it work?” Gwaine peered a the Pendant, held suspended from Merlin’s fingers.

Merlin shook his head lightly.

“None of the books we read had a polymathy on the Pendant,” Gaius answered as Gwaine straightened up.

“There was a spell though,” Merlin added, drawing the Pendant to rest against his chest.

“Whoa.” Gwaine held out hishand. Merlin shot him a confused look. “Is it… safe?”

“Don’t see why not. It is my magic, after all.”

With a nod from Gaius, Gwaine stepped back. Merlin whispered the words of the spell.

The Pendant glowed brightly, as did Merlin’s eyes, and then the two dimmed once more.

“Whoa…” Merlin mumbled, stumbling.

Gwaine held him up as Gaius fetched a stood for him to sit on.

“How do you feel?”

Merlin considered for a moment. “Whole. More whole than I did before.”

“And you’re sure you got all of the magic back?” Gwaine asked cautiously.

“Yes. Why?”

“Cause it’s still glowing.”
